The Bond Board launches a new, free advice service for landlords and letting agents
Keeping up to date with changes in regulations and policies can be hard at the best of times but being a landlord in 2020 is challenging. With the Covid crisis landlords are now faced with a totally different set of trials. With things changing so fast, it can be difficult to stay up to date with all the latest developments.
We understand that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution to issues facing landlords. Our new landlord service can help you with tailored advice and training to meet your needs, improving your knowledge of up to date information and promote good practice.
Many tenants are facing reduced hours or loss of employment, whilst many landlords rely on their rental income to pay their own bills and support their own families. The drive has been that where possible landlords should work together with their tenants to come to agreements over rent.
We know that this is not always easy, tenants may not be engaging and a likelihood that rent arrears were already mounting up before the onset of Covid. With a ban on evictions; changes to notice periods; Anti-Social Behaviour the reality is that life will not return to ‘normal’ for some time.
